IBM focuses on Drupal for new developerWorks series -

The popular IBM developerWorks site has started a new series entitled "Using open source software to design, develop, and deploy a collaborative Web site". After reviewing numerous open source packages such as Typo3, Mambo, and the ever-hyped Ruby on Rails, they "decided to use Drupal", remarking that it "provided the right combination of framework and flexibility . . . to get the job done". They also echo many of our user's concerns about potential complexity: "There is still an apparent learning curve to the "Drupal Way" of creating sites, but significantly less compared with other CMSs. The ability to use PHP to move freely between the business logic layer and the presentation layer (using the PHP template engine) was also very appealing." Read more over at IBM's developerWorks.

Drupal içerik yönetim sisteminin gücünün ve geleceğinin parlak olduğunun farkındaydım ama diğer içerik yönetim sistemleriyle kıyaslayamıyordum. Bu yüzden Drupal'in en iyi çözüm olup olmadığından emin değildim. Fakat bu yazıda da gördüğünüz gibi IBM bile açık kaynak içerik yönetim sistemlerinde yaptığı kıyaslamada Drupal'i seçmiş.

Drupal sağlam altyapısı sayesinde kolay yönetilebilir ve kişiselleştirilebilir ve güvenli bir sistem sağlıyor. Bu gün Joomla forumlaında gezerken farkettim Drupal forumlarında kimse "Sitem hacklendi" başlıklı konular açmıyor. Bunun sebebi Drupal'in Joomla'dan daha az yaygın olması diye düşünülebilir fakat bence asıl sebep sağlam altyapı ve kaliteli kodlamadır.

Umarım kısa zamanda Drupal için Türkiye'de Türkçe bir site açacağız. Bu site sayesinde Drupal'i Türkiye'de yaygınlaştırmayı düşünüyoruz. Drupal'in yönetim kolaylığını ve olanaklarını denemek için Open Source CMS sitesindeki demoyu kullanabilirsiniz.
