Linux Kullanıcıları Derneği'nin yeni dönemdeki etkinliklerinde kullanmak için yeni görseller yaptırılması planlanıyor. Daha çok ve çeşitli görseller ile derneğin katıldığı etkinliklerde özgür yazılımın adını ve felsefesini daha fazla duyurabilmemiz mümkün olacak.

Görsel malzemelerin önemli bir parçası da slogan. Sloganların kısa ve öz olması, Türkçe olması, dağıtım bağımsız olması, herhangi bir firma ya da ürünü kötülememesi gerekiyor.

NATURAL/ADABAS çok eski bir teknoloji olmasına rağmen ingilizce dahi kaynak bulma sıkıntısı olan bir ikili. Bu yüzden ihtiyacım/ihtiyacımız için NATURAL/ADABAS Kullanım Klavuzu adı altında Türkçe içerikli bir Wiki oluşturmaya karar verdim..

Ayrıca bu ultra hızlı dil+db ikilisini performans sorunu olanlarda mutlaka incelemeli (ultra-high performance with transaction speeds of over 300,000 transactions per second).

Kitap özellikle yapısal kestirim, popülasyon metotları, paralel hesaplama, Kovelasyon, Çok hedefli optimizasyon, Karınca kolonileri, Genetik algoritmalar, Genetik programlama, evrimsel yazılım metotları gibi birbirinden populer yapay zeka konularını içerisinde barındırıyor. Gösterilen algoritmalar rahatlıkla C/C++,Java, Python, Lisp gibi bir dilde programlanabilecek sadelikte. Özellikle yapay zeka meraklısı arkadaşlara tavsiye ederim.

Kısa süre önce Deniz Yüret'in Türkçe 'deasciifier'ını (turkish-mode, Emacs Lisp ile yapılmış) Python'a çevirdim. Kaynak kod adresi: http://github.com/emres/deasciifier.

'deasciification' ve 'deasciifier' terimlerine aşina olmayanlar için kısa açıklama: Türkçe harfler kullanılmadan, sadece ASCII harfler ile yazılmış Türkçe metinlerin, düzgün şekilde Türkçe harfler kullanılarak yazılmış hale çevrilmesine 'deasciification' denir. Bundan birkaç ay önce FFMpeg ile ilgili bir işle uğraşırken, FFMpeg'in Hall Of Shame sayfasına denk geldim. Sayfaya baktığımda gördüm ki, Türk Telekom Wirofon yazılımı da FFMpeg'i lisansına aykırı olarak GPL olmayan bir programa dahil ederek GPL ihlali yapmakla suçlanıyordu. Türk Telekom'dan hiç bir açıklama olmadığı için de bir "fare dağa küsmüş" durumu olduğunu düşündüm.
